Deso Fat Dissolve

The solution is slow acting and gradual action needs time to achieve the treatment aim. The fat cells in the layer treated with sodium deoxycholate will undergo lysis and then a process of degradation and disposal through the lymphatic system.

NON-SURGICAL FAT REDUCTION

Before carrying out the treatment, it is necessary for the patient to undergo careful examination while standing. The treatment includes injection of the substance directly into the fat layer, using multiple needle injections, a special needle (introlipotherapy) or cannula.

It is possible to feel mild to moderate pain during the treatment, although this is easily tolerated or ignored. The treatment is followed by slight pain, redness, swelling and bruising. These problems are frequent, transitory and should be considered a normal consequence of the treatment. If the patient notes anomalous symptoms during the period after treatment, meaning anything not described by qualified nurse/Doctor, they must contact him or her without delay.

POST TREATMENT PERIOD

Edema, bruising, and pain in the treated area are extremely frequent, (more than 50% of cases) but generally do not limit a normal social life or physical activity.

Containment means sleeves, girdles…), Lymph drainage or pressotherapies are strongly recommended for the days after treatment. It is in any case important to follow the instructions of the qualified Nurse/Doctor, which will vary according to each case, based on different factors such as body area treated, the patients characteristics and the progress of the post-treatment period.

ALTERNATIVE TREATMENTS

Surgical and other alternatives to intralipotherapy include liposculpture, laserlipolisis, cryolypolisis, ultrasound therapy, gas contouring and mesotherapy. Each of these methods has risks and potential complications.

TREATMENT RISKS

All aesthetic medical treatments involve risks that, although minimal, are important to understand. Although the majority of patients do not develop the complications listed below, it is necessary to be informed of them and if necessary, discuss them with the Nurse/Doctor.

Prolonged pain. This may last for days or even weeks;

Allergic reactions (<0.002%) are possible and will require systemic treatment;

Nodules (<0.05%) transitory and only permanent in exceptional circumstances. In each case of persistence, they can be treated with dedicated therapy (localised infiltration, gas, excision)

Unsatisfactory results (<0.3%) It is possible to be disappointed with the results of treatment. This may be due to partial correction or to the occurrence of flabby skin, asymmetry or irregularity.

Damage to the skin structures (<0.01%). Deep structures such as nerves, vessels and muscles, can be damaged during the procedure. The damage may bee temporary or permanent.

Discolouring (0.002%). These are generally temporary and often related to bruising, but in rare cases can become permanent.

It is important to protect the skin against, UV lamps and saunas, etc…).

Necrosis of the skin (0.0076%). Blisters and bruising are a cause for the patient to be alerted

When these occur, it is essential for frequent medication and specific provisions envisaged in specific treatment protocol.

Other complications may occur but these are even rarer. Should complications occur it may be necessary for additional interventions or other treatments.

STATEMENT OF INFORMED CONSENT TO THE FOLLOWING TREATMENT

Introlipotherapy using sodium deoxycholate-based solutions

Before illustrating the risks and benefits of the proposed treatment, it is important for you to know that the purpose of aesthetic medicine is to correct defects or dysmorphia of various kinds

Anyone expecting miraculous transformations from aesthetic medicine is destined to be disappointed. Aesthetic medicine involves medical procedures and since medicine is not precise science, neither is aesthetic medicine. From this we can deduce that it is not possible to provide a precise prediction of the percentage of improvement to the flaw being corrected, the extent or the duration of the result. It is necessary to stress that some factors effect the final result; the healing process, which continues months after treatment and which cannot be completely controlled br the practitioner or patient, general health conditions, lifestyle, age, specific skin and subcutaneous tissue characteristics, physical aspects, heredity aspects and hormonal influence. Thees elements, together with other factors influence the variability of the end result. Aesthetic medical treatment like that by all medical act, inevitably has different consequences, according to type and the specific case, which must be evaluated before undergoing the treatment. As for any type of medical treatment, errors or complications are also possible in aesthetic medicine. The former are unforeseeable and undesirable, while the latter are at times unavoidable and must be considered by every patient before treatment. As a result, for the above reasons, although respecting the rules of aesthetic medicine, the treatment may not bring about the hoped for results which cannot therefore bye guaranteed or ensured. This applies only in particular areas.

The purpose of the following consent form is to provide the patient, in addition to the pre treatment interview with the practitioner, with all the information concerning the characteristics and the risks connected to INTRALIPOTHERAPY treatment using sodium deoxycholate-based solutions.

Therefore, we ask you to read the document with care and to discuss with the practitioner with regard to the explanation of all the term that are not clear, before signing as confirmation of full understanding the information received.

GENERALISED INFORMATION

Localised fat deposits are subcutaneous adipose tissue accumulation in specific anatomical area that alter body silhouette. They are unsightly and unresponsive to the normal signals to active metabolism (low calorie diet, physical exercise). They can be successfully treated with intralipotherapy.

Intralipotherapy is widely used technique in aesthetic medicine. It uses adipocitolytic solutions that are solutions containing natural cleansers that cause fat cell lysis. Using intralipotherapy, the solution is released parcel-style and evenly, directly into the fat layer, gradually reducing its size. The treatment can be repeated after a suitable period of time.

I hereby authorise the practitioner and the staff of same to change, according to science and conscience both during and in the period following it.

I herby accept to undergo medical and physical treatment that is prescribed to me in the period post operational, since I am informed that if this is not the case, I will compromise the outcome of the treatment. since medicine is not precise science and since the exact result cannot be programmed beforehand, nor can the occurrence of complications, since these events depend not only on the method used but even more so, on the body response to it.

I consent to being photographed before, during and after the intervention for the purpose of clinical documentation that the practitioner undertakes to use in scientific context and guarantees absolute anonymity.

I have also been informed of all the possible complications.

I am aware of the fact that during the treatment and in the period after, it may be necessary, at the opinion of the nurse, to undergo additional procedures or procedures other than those illustrated previously.

I accept to return for further investigation as and at the intervals required by the nurse.

I am aware that failure to attend the check-ups after the treatment may be a cause of complications, even severe.

I confirm that I have received extensive information and the I have received answers to all of my questions. Therefore, I consent to undergo intralipotherapy treatment using adipocitolysis solution.

I authorise the nurse to perform the medical and surgical treatments required before and after.

I also state that I will follow all the post operative instructions as prescribed by the nurse.

I consent to the processing and communication of my personal data.

AFTERCARE

Avoid aspirin for pain. Can take paracetamol and use a fan if necessary, Ice can be applied for 5 minutes pre-post treatment.

Compression garment for 2-5 days post treatment

Nodules can last unto 1 month. these can be managed

Bruising if frequent. Avoid direct sunlight, sunbeams and heat treatments during treatment period.

Avoid hot baths and showers (tepid water only) for 5 days.
